Since past 1 month we all have been praying for the safety of the flood hit victims in Kerala. We at Digizap, also are trying our best possible way to reach out to these victims to help them in every possible way.
So it was during my research upon Kerala that I came across this name Sreelakshmi Suresh. When I read about her, I though this is the story that has to be told.
It’s inspirational, thought provoking and establishes the belief that every child is born genius.
Sreelakshmi Suresh was born in a middle class family who allowed her to play around with computers when she was young, in fact very young.
So this Child prodigy started twinkling with computers at the age of 3. Started website designing at around same age and had her first website ready by time she was 6.
The little champ didn’t stopped there; by the age of 11 she had already established two companies by the name: Tiny logo and Edesign.
Her first stroke of inspiration came when she realised that her school, Higher Secondary School, didn’t have a proper website.
It was then she took upon herself to make a website for her school, http://www.presentationhss.com/ is the website designed by for her.
Not only was she recognised by her school for her effort but was duly awarded by her state and the world.
She was awarded as the youngest web designer at the age of 6 and youngest CEO at the age 11.
Now, these are not the only awards that are won by this brilliant kid, in her kitty she already had added:
• The national child award for Exceptional Achievement in 2008
• Golden Web Award (USA)
• The Sixty Plus Education Award (Canada)
• The 37th Texas Web Award (USA)
• The Thomas Sims Greves Award For Excellence (UK)
And many more you check the entire list at: http://kalamfanclub.com/sreelakshmi-suresh-a-web-designer-and-a-ceo-at-the-age-of-6.
She is also awarded with the membership of Association of American webmasters; in fact she is the only member under Age 18.
Not only is this pride of India appointed as the brand ambassador of Info Group. Her story is a lesson for all of us, who are always looking up in the skies for help. Her, hard work and confidence is what that is shaping her career.
At such a young age, she has an amazing clarity on where she is and where she wants to be.
In an interview with https://www.siliconindia.com, when she was asked about her future plans, she promptly replied she want to make Edesign the best IT Company in India. In other words she wants to be the CEO of the best IT firm of India.
The best part about her is that she is not dreaming about her plans rather she is actually working and improving upon her skills all the time.
The best part I liked about her is her sound business understanding. When asked how she is tacking the current dip in IT scenario, she was ready with her reply too.
She said, she is not focusing only on foreign clientele rather she is working with many small local entrepreneurs to scale up their businesses.
So far she is one women army and only hires people occasionally when she needs some work with high level of scripting.
Honestly speaking, I have been thinking about her and her story since yesterday. This girl is forcing me to rethink and redesign my thought process.
We as people fall in this loop of complaining and cribbing about every little problem we have and this girl is just conquering milestones.
Even after so much accolades and rewards, she is continuously working hard to harness her skills and craft.
It isn’t that she is born with some special brain, she is just like us but unlike us, she is completely focused on her tasks and nothing else, at least for the moment.
In this moment of appreciation, I will also like to give kudos to her parents and school, who encouraged her to pursue her dreams her way.
Trust me support of the family matters the most when it comes to child education.
I will end this article by adding a brilliant quote from this angel:
“No Sentiments or friendships counts in business, it is only the quality of work that matters, its’ not the quantity but the quality that matters in the business of Web Design.”
